HellermannTyton’s new HelaGuard double-slit corrugated conduit features enables the addition of flexible protection to wiring that is already connected on both ends.

Standard conduit installation requires cabling to be guided into and through the length of tubing. If the ends of the wire are soldered to a terminal or otherwise inaccessible, a non-slit or single-slit conduit can be tedious or impossible to apply.

With the new two-piece conduit, on the other hand, one semi-circular tube snaps over another to envelop the wire or cable bundle, with a narrow diameter available to save space in cramped applications.

“A technician can lay the cable over one length of the open-sided HelaGuard product and snap the other length over it to complete the installation,” explains Maureen Janosch, head of project management.

The conduits are offered in polypropylene (PP), polyamide 6 (PA6) and PA6 flame-retardant (FR) material options and in six diameters. They work with HellermannTyton’s standard nylon snap-on style fittings and hinged clips.
