Award honours

Terra Engineering Ltd. of Vancouver won the 1998 B.C. Export Award for the Service Sector in November. The firm, which specializes in geotechnical, materials and environmental services, won the award in recognition of its operations in Malaysia. Terra’s exports of $1.8 million are over 22% of the company’s total sales.

Goodfellow Technologies Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario, a subsidiary of Stantec, won a 1998 Financial Post Environment Award for Business. The firm won the technology silver award for an electric furnace system optimization process that reduces contaminated emissions from electric arc furnaces.
