Tony Franceschini, P.Eng., President and Chief Executive Officer of Stantec of Edmonton, has been awarded the first PSMJ Annual Design Industry Outstanding CEO of the Year Award. He won the award in the large firm category.
Franceschini won the award in competition with candidates from all over North America. They were judged according to several criteria, including: vision and leadership, corporate performance, global competitiveness, innovative business achievements, strategic quality planning, human resource management, innovation and social responsibility.
Stantec is one of Canada’s largest consulting engineering companies and one of only two that are publicly traded. It has offices and 4,000 employees in North America and the Caribbean. PSMJ Resources has headquarters in Newton, Massachusetts and provides training, publications and surveys for the A/E/C industry.
Franceschini received the award at a reception in Las Vegas on October 14.
