Sarah Gore elected an Executive Director at JLR

J.L. Richards & Associates Ltd. (JLR) has announced the election of Sarah Gore, P.Eng., to the position of Executive Director, joining the Board of 11 Executive Directors who lead the Ottawa-based employee-owned firm which has been in operation since 1955.

Gore joined JLR as an environmental engineer in 2005 before becoming an associate and manager of environmental engineering in the civil/planning department in 2016.

A graduate of the University of Guelph (B.A.Sc. Water Resources Engineering), she specializes in water distribution/sanitary sewer collection systems and drinking water/wastewater treatment. She is responsible for the preparation of environmental assessments and complex cost estimates, assessments of conventional and innovative water and wastewater treatment technologies, legislative and regulatory reviews, feasibility studies, and more.

Gore also has experience in the project management of complex design and construction projects that involve all major engineering, architecture, and planning disciplines, with an emphasis on contract administration and project delivery.

She is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario, the Water Environment Federation, Water Environmental Association of Ontario, Ontario Water Works Association, and American Water Works Association. She is also Chair of the Board at Ryan’s Well Foundation, a non-profit charity dedicated to providing clean and safe water for residents in developing countries.
