Canadian engineering, architecture, planning, and project management firm J.L. Richards & Associates Ltd. (JLR) has elected Saverio Parrotta to the role of vice president.
Parrotta brings with him more than 25 years of engineering and project management experience. He joined the company in 1998 as a senior civil engineer and became an associate of the firm in 2006, managing JLR’s Sudbury office for eight years.
Most recently, Parrotta served three years on the Board of Directors and as director-in-charge of JLR’s Sudbury and North Bay offices, as well as the Industrial & Mining Division.
Parrotta’s experience in civil engineering includes managing complex infrastructure projects and overseeing engineers and technical support staff in the preparation of studies, reports, and detailed design and contract documents from concept to final construction.
He has successfully delivered projects in the commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial sectors, and has worked with all levels of government for project approval.
A graduate of Carleton University (Bachelor of Civil Engineering, 1992), Parrotta is also a licensed engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario and holds the designation of Consulting Engineer.
In his new role he will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm’s operations and allocation of resources.
