GENIVAR acquired three firms in December. One is Tundra Engineering Associates, a Calgary-based firm with 150 employees. It specializes in the natural gas and oil industry, providing design and project management services in Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan. Two days later, Genivar acquired two small niche firms that together add 27 people to the company. One of the firms is Aquapraxis, based in Laval, Quebec that provides urban hydrology and water resource management services.  The other is Hirschfield Williams Timmins based in Victoria, B.C. which specializes in mechanical engineering for buildings.
