Dessau of Montreal has acquired Merlex Engineering of North Bay, Ontario. Merlex specializes in geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering, and construction inspection. The company was established in 1982 and has 20 employees. It will become part of LVM, a subsidiary of Dessau, which now employs 200 people in Ontario.
Genivar of Montreal has acquired a company that specializes in acoustics. Decibel Consultants is based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec and has 13 employees specializing in architectural acoustics and industrial and environmental noise measurement and control.
