Digital matrix mixer meets control panels

Audio equipment provider TOA Canada, based in Mississauga, Ont., has released a Crestron 3 and 4-series SIMPL# module suite for its M-8080D digital matrix mixer (pictured).

The release results from collaboration with Crestron, which develops video conferencing systems, and a software developer. The addition of the RS232 serial data transmission module suite is expected to draw more integrators to the M-8080D, given the popularity of Creston’s products. Controlling the mixer through Crestron panels allows for quick adjustments to the digital signal processor’s (DSP’s) performance for specific audio requirements.

“We believe the new integration with Crestron control panels through the added module will elevate the already popular DSP to a must-have for mid-sized to large multi-zoned paging projects,” explains Keith Angcos, product development head for TOA Canada.
