Saniflo’s North American branch in Cambridge, Ont., has launched the Sanipit 24GR retrofit pump kit to facilitate easier replacement of faulty sewage pumps and related components from major manufacturers for commercial and residential applications.

The kit includes a built-in 1-hp motor, stainless steel grinder blade and air pressure mechanism that can fit most 24-in. basins, including Liberty Pumps, Zoeller and Myers models, to prevent clogs. The existing basin stays in place while the Sanipit 24GR’s retrofit cover adapts to it.

“Sewage pumps have been a largely unchanged and problematic part of the plumbing industry for over 50 years,” says Saniflo North America CEO Regis Saragosti. “This solution is poised to disrupt the North American market by offering a hassle-free and high-performance option for replacing faulty sewage pumps.”

A short cycling thermomagnetic-type motor and wastewater detection system help meet engineers, specifiers and installers’ needs. The 24GR can create a dry cavity within the pit and keeps components and the motor separate, preventing messes during installation and maintenance. A gasket that protects against odour and sewer gas ensures sanitary operations.

The 24GR can pump up to 25 ft and comes with an external control panel and visual/audible alarm system.
