Stantec has published a book to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Contained in a bronze-coloured cover, the 98-page publication tells the story of the company which began in 1954 when Dr. Don Stanley set out to design water and wastewater systems in small towns in western Canada.
Since then the firm has done more than 40,000 projects for some 4,000 clients in more than 80 countries. The book organizes this history into three eras. The first is the Don Stanley Era: Setting the Foundation, 1954-1983. The second is the Ron Triffo Era: Diversifying our Company, 1983-1998. And the third is the Tony Franceschini Era: Achieving our Goals, 1998-Present.
The pages also feature 50 of the “great faces of Stantec,” i.e. 50 current employees who are recognized by their peers “as representative of our Company’s spirit.”
