Stantec, one of Canada’s two publicly traded consulting engineering companies, will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on August 5th.
Tone Franceschini, president and chief executive officer of the company, will ring the opening bell to mark the occasion.
Stantec is to trade in New York under the symbol SXC. The company operates on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol STN.
The company recently announced its year to date 2005 gross revenue has increased 14.6% compared to the same period last year. This year’s gross revenues were $291.3 million compared to $254.1 million last year. Net revenues increased 11.0% to $246.8 million over the same period.Founded in 1954, Stantec has a head office in Edmonton, Alberta and has 4,500 employees spread throughout North America and the Caribbean.
