Stantec has appointed five new leaders for different sectors of its buildings group in the Toronto area. Jens Boehme, P.Eng. is the lead for structural engineering, Nuno Duarte, P.Eng., is sector lead for laboratories and justice. Mike Godawa, P.Eng. is sector leader for health care, and Chris Piche, P.Eng. is sector lead for education. Michael Shiu, P.Eng. is leader for electrical engineering,

MTE Consultants has appointed John Kooymans as division manager responsible for its structural engineering team in Burlington, Ontario. MTE specializes in civil, municipal, structural and environmental engineering and has 190 employees in Kitchener, Burlington, Guelph and Stratford, Ontario.

The vice-chair of AECOM announced he will retire on December 4. Raymond (Ray) W. Holdsworth, Jr., has been vice chairman of AECOM since 2005, and was previously president of DMJM, before it became part of AECOM. AECOM President and Chief Executive Officer John M. Dionisio said note that Mr. Holdsworth “has led a number of critical initiatives for our company. While Ray will be stepping away from day-to-day responsibilities, he will continue to work with us in a consulting role,” and  “will continue to provide valuable input and advice on our company’s critical strategic initiatives.”
