ASHRAE and SCANVAC HVAC Cold Climate Conference

This international conference will bring together construction engineers, practitioners, researchers, scientists, owners and government officials working in cold-climate regions to share recent HVAC advances and solutions.

“Net-zero energy and sustainability goals pose special challenges for cold climates, those with large swings in temperature and where shifting weather patterns result in colder temperatures where winters are typically mild,” explains conference chair Erich Binder, a Calgary-based consulting engineer. “Harmonizing human comfort with climatic realities is a balancing act. Strategic design is key to building, commissioning and operating efficient, long-lasting cold-climate structures.”
