Stantec, one of Canada’s two publicly-traded consulting engineering firms, has reported increased gross revenues for the second quarter of 2003 compared to last year. The figure went up by 28.5% to $6.6 million from $5.2 million previously. Basic earnings per share were $0.36, which is 28.6% higher than last year. Year-to-date gross revenue increased 20.5% compared to $188.8 million for the same period last year.
Tony Franceschini, P.Eng., president and CEO of Stantec, said “Our strong results in the second quarter are a result of our robust business model and the dedication of employees throughout the Company.” He continued, “We remain confident in our strategy and direction and we’re on track to be among the top 10 global design firms by 2008.”
