Stantec has appointed Bob Youden, former CEO of Jacques Whitford, to lead Stantec’s Canada East region. Stantec acquired the Jacques Whitford company  based in Halifax earlier this year.

As a Senior Vice President in Stantec, Mr. Youden will be responsible for Stantec’s operations in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, P.E.I. and areas of the Canadian Territories. The region has offices in 28 different cities and more than 2,300 employees.

Mr. Youden holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Stantec also recently announced that Don Belliveau of Fredericton, New Brunswick has been promoted to lead the firm’s industrial practice. The industrial group includes more than 1,400 people in North America. He takes over the position from Bob Gomes who becomes Stantec’s President and CEO in May.
