Teknika HBA has been contracted to help formulate the LEED requirements for a competition to design a new planetarium in Montreal. Montreal’s Nature Museum are hoping to attain the Platinum level of Leed for the new building, which is going to be built next to the Biodome.

Teknika HBA, which is part of the Trow Global Group of Companies based in Brampton, Ontario, has also just announced a “merger” with Progenie Experts-Conseil of Sept-Iles and Montreal. Progenie has 30 years of history, specializing in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Two companies who are part of the Trow Global Group will now begin operating under the Trow Associates name. W.J. Bowman Ltd., a land surveying company based in Dryden and Fort Frances, Ontario, became part of Trow in 2007. Among its clients are First Nations, industrial and mining clients in northwestern Ontario. Sutcliffe Rody Quesnel, a civil and land surveying firm in Northern Ontario will also now start operating as Trow Associates. it joined the Trow Global Group in 2006. Sutcliffe Rody Quesnel was started in 1906 and has offices in towns such as Cochrane, Dryden, New Liskeard, North Bay and Timmins.

H.H. Angus consulting engineers of Toronto is doing the mechanical and electrical design for a design-build proposal for a new hospital and residential care facilitiy in Fort St. John, northeast British Columbia. H.H. Angus is working on behalf of Cannon Design and the ISL Health Consortium who have been selected to design, build, finance and operate the 15,000-m2 facility to replace a 1962 building. Angus Consulting Management Western Limited will also perform the plant services and utility management services once the project is built.
