Ted Chudleigh, the MPP for Halton, Ontario and Parliamentary Assistant for the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, is to hold face-to-face meetings with the construction industry as part of a mission to unearth barriers to business that companies are facing. The consultations are “to discover ways to break down barriers to business and keep our industries competitive in a global marketplace.”
Chudleigh is to begin with meetings in the chemicals industry, but by early August will start consulting members of the commercial and institutional construction industry. He will be submitting a report to Economic Development and Trade Minister Bob Runciman in the fall.
So far, Chudleigh’s office says they have not set up any specific meetings in the construction sector, but indicate he will be meeting with the associations and private firms. Anyone interested in participating should e-mail Lara Coombs of Chudleigh’s office at laracoombs@edt.gov.on.ca
