New National Building Codes coming soon

Morrison Hershfield, consulting engineers of Toronto, have been hired to create a training materials package for the upcoming 2005 editions of the National Building Code, Fire Code and Plumbing Code.
The 2005 codes are scheduled for publication this summer and involve substantial shifts — including technical changes and an objective-based model.
By the end of 2005, the National Research Council of Canada in collaboration with the provinces and territories will be presenting seminars across Canada on the technical changes. The provinces and territories will also be running training sessions to help with the transition to the objective-based format.
