Factory Mutual in the United States has suspended its approval of large drop fire sprinklers.

Factory Mutual in the United States has suspended its approval of large drop fire sprinklers.
In December, FM Approvals announced that following recent full-scale tests at the FM Global Research Campus in Rhode Island, the company will no longer stamp the FM diamond mark of approval on the K11.2 large drop automatic fire sprinkler models made by Tyco (TY5153) and Viking (VK540).
FM Approvals is continuing to investigate.
In the meantime, Viking Corporation announced that its large drop sprinkler recently successfully passed full-scale tests at Underwriters Laboratories and so will continue to market the sprinkler as UL-listed.
