The acquisition places the company in a position to become a "top three player" in specific segments of the Finnish building sector.

Montreal-based WSP Global has acquired the Finnish company ISS Proko Oy and its wholly-owned subsidiary ISS Suunnittelupalvelut Oy. Headquartered in Helsinki, ISS Proko has 12 offices in Finland and 135 employees. The company specializes in construction and project management, supervision, appraisals and inspection.

According to WSP, the acquisition places the company in a position to become a “top three player” in specific segments of the Finnish building sector.

“The addition of ISS Proko to the WSP team strengthens our market share in the building sectors, while expanding our engineering and consulting services across the country,” says Kirsi Hautala, managing director of WSP in Finland in a company release.

In 2016 WSP acquired PTS Kiinteistotekniika Oy, a construction project management firm located in central Finland, and more recently in 2017 WSP expanded its presence in the country with the acquisition of traffic management company Trafix Oy.
