Gerald Epp, P.Eng. of Fast + Epp in Vancouver received the Engineer Award at WoodWORKS! BC. The 2011 awards were presented in Vancouver on March 14. The award was for a footbrige known as the “Bridge of Dreams” in Princeton, B.C. The program had 82 nominations in 12 categories.

Pageau Morel won two Laureats at the AQME (the Quebec association of energy management) Awards. One was for 1801 McGill College, and the other was for the Buanderie Centrale de Montreal. BPR won the Prix de l’AEE (Association of Energy Engineers) for the Hospital Louis-H Lafontaine project.

Stephenson Engineering won a 2010 Ontario Concrte Award for Structural Design Innovation at the AeroCentre V.

AECOM has been named one of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies for 2011” by the Ethisphere Institute. This is the fifth year of the awards, which recognized 110 companies.

Enermodal Engineering has opened its seventh Canadian location, with a new office in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Omicron has opened a new office in Victoria, B.C. The team on Vancouver Island will be led by Peter Laughlin.

Halcrow Yolles in Toronto has recently announced three new appointments. Bill Coupe has joined the Toronto office as a principal. David Bannister is a new senior principal, and Ken Sissakis is a new senior associate.
