IEEE issues standards for networks in urban areas

The IEEE Standards Association has introduced a number of standards to improve connectivity and communications in urban areas.

The IEEE Standards Association has introduced a number of standards to improve connectivity and communications in urban areas.

The standards include a set for cyber security to accommodate critical infrastructure, and a set for broadband communications below 100 megahertz over electrical power lines for LANs in buildings, smart energy, transportation applications and data distributions.
