New ID+ 2.5″ Downlight and Wall Wash

The ID+ 2.5″ Downlight and Wall Wash offers the options required to accommodate all areas of an office.

Designed with flexibility in mind, Focal Point’s new ID+ 2.5″ Downlight and Wall Wash offers specifiers a comprehensive solution for ambient, accent and task lighting at a competitive price point. Its 2.64″ low-profile housing is ideal for shallow plenum spaces while its powerful light outputs and variety of beam spreads make it the perfect small-aperture solution for commercial offices, educational and healthcare interiors, residential spaces, and hospitality venues. Plus, the luminaire’s ease of installation and maintenance will strongly appeal to building contractors.

Standard white colour temperatures at CRI 80, 90 and 97 provide the necessary light quality options to render colors more accurately. Two warm dim options at CRI 90 are also available to promote a comfortable interior environment; this includes a halogen range of 3000K-1800K and an incandescent range of 2700K-1800K. Multiple drivers and dimming options ensure compatibility with specified or existing control systems and the ID+ 2.5″ is also PoE compatible, interfacing with building control systems through low-voltage wires.

To help create a cohesive environment, the ID+ 2.5″ Downlight and Wall Wash is available in round or square with white, black, clear diffuse or warm-diffuse die-cast trim options. Trimless reflectors are also available for mud-in drywall or wood-ceiling applications.

Ease of installation was also considered in the ID+ 2.5″ Downlight and Wall Wash design.  Its universal housing works in shallow plenum spaces and is adjustable for ceiling thicknesses from 0.5″ to 1.5 “.  In order to support any plenum condition, the housing is available in Thermally Protected, Non-IC; Thermally Protected, Non-IC Wood; IC Rated/Airtight; and Chicago Plenum. The Twist & Lock mechanism allows contractors to easily swap trims when design changes occur in the field or to switch between downlight and wall wash post-installation. Serviceability from below the ceiling further establishes the new ID+ 2.5″ as a contractor-friendly solution.

The ID+ 2.5” is UL and cUL listed for use in wet location rated indoor environments and outdoor rated for recessed ceiling applications.
