Rheem ProTerra – How It Works
The Rheem ProTerra hybrid electric water heater is one of the most efficient water heaters on the market. Its innovative technology provides customers with enhanced comfort, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Using Heat Pump Technology to heat water is extremely efficient, up to 4x more efficient than a standard electric water heater. The ProTerra’s fans pull air from around the unit, or from another location with an optional duct adapter to efficiently heat water. The air passes through a filter that removes debris and dust. All functions are controlled by an advanced control. The built-in condensate management system will shut down the compressor if it senses water outside. With LeakGuard detection, if water is detected in the drain pan, the unit will emit an audible alarm and through the EcoNet App.
