CIMA+ provides a variety of consulting engineering services, namely in the areas of buildings, infrastructure, transportation, energy and resources, project management, communication systems, and the environment. The search for excellence has been part of our DNA since our foundation in 1990, and our teams draw on decades of experience acquired across Canada to deliver quality projects that meet our client’s expectations. This commitment has allowed CIMA+ to rank among the largest private consulting engineering firms in the country. Today, with over 30 offices across Canada, CIMA+ employs more than 3,000, a majority of whom share ownership in the company.

At CIMA+ we believe that our job aims at improving the lives of those around us. Sustainability inspired engineering solutions help meet the many challenges of today and tomorrow. To shift to a future that promotes sustainable development and climate resilience, it is essential that organizations and businesses apply bold and achievable targeted measures on their decarbonisation journeys, which is why CIMA+ is a signatory of the Net-Zero Challenge.

At CIMA+, we engineer for people and therefore for a better world.

Energy transition and climate change adaptation
CIMA+ is championing the energy transition through smart, sustainable strategies and engineering solutions. Our approach focuses on reducing energy footprints while ensuring detailed planning, financial feasibility and the true impact our strategies offer. Our teams are recognized for their ability to go beyond conventional solutions and push the boundaries of what is possible to increase the environmental performance of projects. By rethinking the way we do things, we are a visionary partner that will transform remote communities’ energy landscape for a more sustainable future.

Indigenous Communities
CIMA+ is an active member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and has worked regularly with Indigenous communities on more than 1,000 projects. Our approach to projects in Indigenous communities is one of partnership and collaboration. We jointly develop strategies that meet the needs of the communities, respect their culture and history, and account for the realities specific to their northern environment. By carrying out Sustainable and Responsible engineering projects in rural and remote areas, we take part in improving the quality of life of the communities. That’s how we make a difference: one project at a time.

This commitment is reflected at all levels of our organization through the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan, where amongst other commitments, we are engaged in the decarbonisation of Indigenous communities.
