ACEC believes in close contact with its clients and one of the ways it accomplishes this is through regular meetings with them. Recently, ACEC organized a Liaison Committee meeting in Ottawa with the Department of National Defence and Defence Construction Canada.

The committee discussed several issues, including the RFP (request for proposals) process, insurance coverage and intellectual property. The committee provides a friendly forum for answering questions and presenting concerns. Defence Construction Canada officials listened carefully and, shortly after the meeting, announced that the restriction will be removed from all contracts.
