Engineers Canada (formerly the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers) is going to be heading up the environment committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organization. Engineers Canada is the Ottawa-based umbrella organization for Canada’s provincial engineering licensing organizations. It was asked by the World Federation of Engineering Organization’s President to chair the Committee on Engineering and the Environment for a four year term ending in 2011.
TD Meloche Monnex agreed to financially support the project.
The Committee chair is to be Darrel John Danyluk, P.Eng. Dayluk was Engineers Canada’s president in 2004-2005 and he is also the technical advisor to Canada’s National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy on issues related to infrastructure.
