Associated Engineering has reached its goal of becoming carbon neutral. The company did so by purchasing carbon offsets from Envirotrade, a company based in Mauritius that sells carbon offsets to support forest conservation. Associated Engineering’s investment supports reforestation and sustainable agriculture in rural Mozambique.

Kery Rudd, president and chief executive officer of Associated Engineering based in Vancouver says: “We selected Envirotrade because they work in conjunction with the University of Edinburgh and the European Commission, and are a credible vendor. They work with Plan Vivo, who provide third party verification and the project has been validated by the Rainforest Alliance at the Gold level for Climate, Community and Biodiversity; it is the only project in the world to have achieved this standard.”
