SNC-Lavalin has acquired INGESGRUP S.A. and its subsidiaries. The group includes INTECSA-INARSA, a Spanish engineering group specializing in infrastructure in mass transit, water engineering, ports and marine facilities, tunnels and bridges. The company also works in the industrial sector, particularly in the construction of gas compression stations.
Intecsa-Inarsa’s head office is in Madrid and it has five other offices throughout Spain, employing 500 people.
Jean Claude Pingat, Executive Vice-President, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. and President of SNC-Lavalin S.A.S. in Europe, said: “This acquisition represents a key part of our strategy to further penetrate Spain’s dynamic marketplace, while building on our expertise in the infrastructure and industrial sectors.”
