The Globe Foundation Awards are inviting entries in their third annual program — due by February 6, 2004.
The awards recognize the contributions to environmental excellence within Canada and are given in six different categories:
Corporate competitiveness award
Industry award for export performance
Corporate award for technology innovation and/or application
Industry association award for environmental performance
Capital markets award for sustainable investments
Award for excellence in brownfield development.
The awards will be presented at the Globe 2004 Conference & Trade Fair gala dinner on April 2, 2004.

The Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) has recently announced an awards program to recognize biosolids practitioners who “raise the bar” in the practice of managing biosolids.
Deadline for submissions is Friday, February 27, 2004.
