“We have concluded that PEO, with the enormous responsibility given by Ontario’s legislators to regulate our profession, should never advocate on behalf of the professional and economic interests of engineers, but rather, should fulfill its role in setting entrance to profession requirements, standards of practice and disciplining members who violate the code of conduct and standards of practice. Further, we believe that PEO must always be neutral when it protects the public. PEO sure cannot claim to be judge, jury and an advocate.”
