The deadlines are set and a Notice of Intention to Enter is posted for the 2010 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards.
A joint program of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) and Canadian Consulting Engineer magazine, the awards are the pre-eminent mark of recognition for completed engineering projects in Canada. They are now in their 42nd Year.
Ten awards of excellence are given, as well as the Schreyer Award for technical innovation, and the Tree for Life/Un Arbre a Aimer award for environmental stewardship.
Entries can be made in any of nine categories. There are six technical categories: buildings; transportation; water resources, environmental remediation; natural resources/mining/power/industry; and special projects. The three non-technical categories are: project management; international; community service/in-house initiatives.
Projects must have been completed in the previous three years.
The first stage deadline is Tuesday, March 30.
