The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Quebec, l’Association des firmes de génie-conseil (AFG) has appointed Robert Landry of SNC-Lavalin as the chair of its board. AFG was known as the Association des ingénieurs-conseil du Quebec (AICQ) until very recently. It represents consulting engineering firms across the province.

Landry is senior vice-president of SNC-Lavalin’s infrastructure engineering – eastern Canada division.

“Robert is an outstanding asset to the SNC-Lavalin team and highly respected for his experience, leadership and strong client focus,” said Robert Card, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “We are very proud to hear of his election as chairman of the board of the AFG and are certain that he will carry out his role with the same commitment and dedication he is known for. I have no doubt that Robert will do an excellent job in helping the AFG promote Quebec’s consulting-engineering firms and their contribution to the province’s development.”

Landry joined SNC-Lavalin in 2013. In addition to managing close to 2,000 employees, he was involved in the integration of several subsidiaries, such as Qualitas, Stavibel and AquaData.
