Trow Consulting Engineers has announced a merger with Les Consultants LBCD, a firm of 65 employees with offices in Valleyfield and Vaudreuil, Quebec.

The merger is said to be the “natural progression of a long period of cooperation between the two companies, who provide complimentary services to both private and public sector clients.” LBCD will add mechanical and electrical engineering services to the Trow portfolio.

Trow, the much larger firm of the two with 700 people practising in many different disciplines, has offices across Canada and the U.S. It was founded in 1957 and recently was named one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies.

LBCD was incorporated 20 years ago as a merger of two older Quebec firms: Lapointe, Beauchamp & Associates, and Louis P. Derome and Associates.
