The new Aquasafe Looped fire safety system by Uponor uses two-port sprinkler fittings and requires fewer feet of crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing. It is for residences in which major structural changes are not anticipated during the construction process. Uponor’s Aquasafe Network residential fire system more readily accommodates changes during installation.


Wiremold/Legrand has introduced a high-capacity, fully recessed poke-thru device. The Evolution Series is a flush, all-metal cover assembly with spring-loaded slide cable egress doors. The devices use 6″ and 8″ holes, allowing more space for receptacles and activations, and they maintain the fire rating of the floor slab for up to two hours.
