In 2007, the Public Bridge Authority at Buffalo and Fort Erie will proudly open the new Canadian Plaza at the Peace Bridge border crossing. The complex has several components, including a vehicle toll collection facility, an administration building for Peace Bridge management and staff, a Canada Border Services Agency inspection building, refugee processing centre and a vehicle compound. Central to the design of the Plaza and the buildings themselves is the very purpose for which the buildings exist -- security of persons and state. Giffels Associates is designing the information systems for NORR, prime consultant.
