Zero Carbon Building Standards Workshop (Virtual)

January 24 - January 25, 2024

Over two days of workshop webinars, the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) will review important, foundational information, with an emphasis on the latest versions of the organization’s zero-carbon building (ZCB) standards.

The ZCB-Design Standard v3 and the ZCB-Performance standard v2 apply to all buildings, except single and multi-family residential buildings, that fall under Part 9 of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC). The requirements for both new and existing buildings will be addressed.

Topics will include the energy transition, embodied carbon, thermal energy demand intensity (TEDI), energy use intensity (EDI), peak demand and renewables. Participants will also participate in a live Q&A and interactive activities to reinforce the course material.

Access to course materials will be provided one day prior to the beginning of the workshop.
