The federal government allocated $3 billion to infrastructure and environmental projects in its budget delivered in December. They also plan to spend $680 million on affordable housing, will double funding to the Green Municipal Enabling Fund and Green Municipal Investment Fund (programs to support environmentally supportable building projects), and will enhance incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
