The first conference focusing on all aspects of engineering for the bio-energy industry is being held in Bellevue, Washington next month. As concerns over global climate change become more pressing, bio-energy is a potential business growth sector for consulting engineers.
The conference will look at advances in production and emerging technologies, as well as issues like storage and transportation.
The event is sponsored by the ASCE and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), an organization founded in 1907 that has 9,000 members from 100 countries and a headquarters in St. Joseph, Michigan.
