James Dyson Award invites “brightest and best young engineers”

The James Dyson Foundation is holding a competition for "the world's brightest and best young engineers."

The James Dyson Foundation is holding a competition for “the world’s brightest and best young engineers.”

The award is running in 18 countries worldwide and is for “product concepts or ideas that solve a real problem.” Students and recent graduates (within four years) are invited to enter projects or concept ideas.

The best entries will demonstrate the iterative design process, with sketches, images of models, prototypes and videos.

Submissions can be from individuals or teams up to four.

Prizes range from $3,700 to $46,500. Entries close August 7.
