The 2010 PSMJ survey of management compensation found that architectural/engineering firms in the U.S. held salaries steady, despite the challenging economic times.

The survey found that base salaries dropped only 0.1% compared to last year.
However, continuing a trend from last year, median bonuses decreased by 9.6 per cent.
The management consultants noted: “Last year’s trend of awarding significantly lower bonuses continued this year, and this reduction was the primary factor in the direct compensation results.
