The Canadian government’s Office of Energy Efficiency is calling for applications of commercial or institutional buildings of 10,000 square metres or less to apply for grants that could amount to up to 25% of the project cost. The maximum available is $50,000.
The call for proposals began October 15 and ends December 14, as part of the ecoENERGY Retrofit program.
The program, run by Natural Resources Canada, provides a list of professional engineers and other experienced energy management consultants to help companies fulfil the application requirements, which include a pre-project audit. However, the government does not endorse or prequalify the directory of potential consultants it provides.
