BBA hires director and senior engineer in Calgary

Debbie Burke and Matt Clarke, P.Eng., have joined consulting engineering firm BBA’s Calgary office as director of oil and gas and senior energy advisor, respectively.

Burke earned her B.Sc. in chemical engineering at the University of Calgary and has 20 years’ experience in strategic and project development in the oil and gas industry, including 16 years with Husky Energy (now Cenovus Energy).  In her new role, she will be instrumental in BBA’s growth across Western Canada.

“Debbie has a broad range of upstream, midstream, downstream and, specifically, innovation experience from her role as strategic connector and integrator with the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN),” says Stéphane Charest , BBA’s vice-president (VP) of decarbonization, energy and chemical processes. “She already has many of the assets to thrive, both internally with BBA and externally with our partners and clients.”

Clarke, meanwhile, earned his B.Eng. in chemical engineering at Ontario’s Western University and has more than 10 years’ experience working for ATCO, focusing on project execution and business development in Alberta’s utilities and energy sector. In his new role, he will deploy power infrastructure to optimize clients’ industrial operations.
