After guests at a Los Angeles hotel complained about water pressure and a foul taste of the water, the hotel investigated and found a corpse in one of its rooftop water cisterns. The body was identified as a Canadian woman who had been staying at the Cecil Hotel en route to Santa Cruz, but hadn’t been heard from since January 31.
Water tests apparently showed no harmful bacteria in the hotel pipes. WaterWorldTV reported that the lack of harmful bacteria was probably because the city water is chlorinated.
