Panel Discussion: What the Future Holds for Smart Buildings

  • Henry Franc, technology solutions architect, Belden
  • Vishal Bhana, associate, Integral Group
With the Internet of Things (IoT), a dizzying array of connected devices and systems in today’s market can make many aspects of a building ‘smart,’ from physical security and life safety to energy efficiency and occupant comfort, but which approaches make the most sense? Our panel of experts will discuss how this technology has evolved so far, how its infrastructure fits into larger telecommunications electrical, architectural and mechanical (TEAM) systems and how specialized professionals can collaborate to achieve optimal results.

He provides technical, operational, planning and design support across verticals and geographies, with a particular emphasis on smart buildings. He also contributes to international standards for intelligent building systems, telecommunications cabling systems, health-care facilities, education, commercial and data centres.
