The Government of Canada announced April 23 that a consortium of Dessau and Cima+ has been selected to carry out the federal environmental assessment for the new bridge across the St. Lawrence River in Montreal.  The federal environmental assessment will take place over 24 months.

The new bridge will eventually replace the Champlain Bridge, a 1960s structure that is deteriorating and is currently undergoing more than $150 million in repairs. It carries $20 billion in international trade per year.
