Victaulic Extends Vic-300 MasterSeal Line with Series 461 Stainless Steel Butterfly Valve
Valve is NSF Certified in accordance with ANSI/NSF 61 & 372
EASTON, Pa. – April 8, 2014 – Victaulic today announced it has expanded the Vic®-300 MasterSeal™ butterfly valve line with a completely stainless steel option. The new Series 461 stainless steel butterfly valve provides a cost-competitive option for the HVAC and potable water markets. The Series 461 valve is NSF 61/372 approved to meet the new low-lead requirements, and is rated for cold and hot potable water service.
“The Series 461 valve rounds out our existing line of butterfly valves, so customers can feel confident that we have the right material, price point, design and geometry for their various applications,” said D.J. Wolbert, valves product manager at Victaulic. “This stainless valve complies with the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act and provides the same level of reliability the industry has come to expect from Victaulic.”
Series 461 valves are designed for pressures ranging from full vacuum to 300 psi (2,065 kPa) and for bi-directional, dead-end services to full working pressure. The stainless steel valve features a patented seat design, made popular by the Victaulic Series 761 butterfly valve, which assures full 360-degree sealing. The valves are available in 3- to 8-inch sizes (80 to 200 millimeters).
