Schneider Electric has been named a global preferred supplier for independent consultancy Royal HaskoningDHV’s Nereda wastewater treatment technology.

Nereda, which purifies water using the unique features of aerobic granular sludge, has been specified for more than 90 completed or in-progress projects around the world (example pictured), including both municipal and industrial uses. Its integrated software controller allows plant operators to view performance along key parameters and explore opportunities for optimization.

As a supplier, Schneider will exploit the capabilities of its EcoStruxure Automation Expert system to develop Nereda Process Control systems to enhance plant process efficiency, provide complete life-cycle management, integrate information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) services seamlessly and improve system diagnostics. By streamlining the implementation, testing and updating of the Nereda control software, the goal is to better facilitate project execution and plant operations.

“This partnership will benefit our clients with stronger project execution, plant performance and opportunities for optimization,” says René Noppeney, Royal HaskoningDHV’s global director of water technology products.
