Toronto-based pump manufacturer Armstrong Fluid Technology has unveiled new, larger versions of its Design Envelope Tango, a low-carbon dual pump designed to ensure uninterrupted service, even during maintenance.

Design Envelope Tango features two motors and two impeller assemblies in a single casing, so installation requires less piping. With vertical in-line orientation, the pump is installed in the piping and does not require an inertia base. Integrated valves can isolate one side of the pump for service without stopping flow or affecting the building’s occupants’ comfort.

New sizes are now available with motors ranging from 15 to 40 hp and capable of serving applications up to 2,000 GPM or 160 ft of pressure. All versions are supported by Armstrong’s cloud-based Pump Manager software, which provides analytics, diagnostics and alerts.

The manufacturer claims “the energy-efficient design of the Tango reduces operating costs by up to 80% and life-cycle costs by up to 40%.”
