In advance of this week’s 2021 Autodesk University virtual conference, IMAGINiT announced a new space planning add-on module for its Clarity building design platform.

The module is intended to address common space planning challenges in complex architectural projects. In addition to this optional add-on, Clarity 2022.1 includes a variety of features to enhance integrations and model metrics for Revit and AutoCAD users.

“Data-savvy design firms provided directional guidance to our software developers to accelerate design creation, improve design verification and track deviations from space programming plans,” says Bill Zavadil, president of IMAGINiT. “The module is the outcome of this collaboration and is now available to benefit the entire architectural design industry.”

The module automates traditionally inefficient and manual early-stage planning and programming with a streamlined workflow. It integrates pre-design space planning into the Revit model with import tools and application programming interfaces (APIs), all via Clarity, and the unified workflow can help reduce redundancies and errors that could otherwise occur when manually inputting space-related data into building information modelling (BIM) software.
